We aim to make jazz music more accessible by offering it to a wider audience, raising the profile of jazz music. Groove on the Green will feature in the Liverpool city centre for 2 days in May, freely available to the public; showcasing a variety of styles of live jazz music. Groove on the Green will tour city centre locations in order to access a demographic audience.
We understand that many people have preconceptions of jazz music but we passionately believe that there is something in jazz for everyone. Through this freely available and accessible initiative we feel that we can open up jazz music to a new audience. We hope to be able to change these preconceptions of jazz. Even if just a few people discover a new level of enjoyment in this style of music from our events, our mission will be complete.
